Customer Marketing Manager (Convenience & Cash and Carry)

Campari Group is looking for an Off Trade Customer Marketing Manager to join the growing Channel & Customer Marketing team based in London. This role will be key to unlocking opportunities predominantly across our portfolio of Spirits focusing on Wray & Nephew, Magnum Tonic Wine and Aperol within the Cash & Carry and Convenience channel. The successful candidate will understand our brand and customer goals and execute activation and POS plans with excellence to reach our target consumer.

Key Responsibilities and Activities Strategic Planning
  • Support the Annual Commercial Planning cycle to develop and deliver Strategic Channel/Brand Activation plans for priority portfolio brands aligned to brand and channel objectives.
  • Use consumer, shopper and customer insights to develop activation plans across the Off Trade channel.
  • Align plans to path to purchase strategies and key sales drivers.
  • Build channel/brand plans with SMART objectives, strategies and key initiatives.
  • Develop activation briefs and lead brief & execution with agencies and key customer contacts.
Channel / Brand Activation
  • Contribute to design and execution of best‑in‑class channel/customer activation tailored by the commercial team.
  • Manage day‑to‑day point‑of‑sale and gifts‑with‑purchase from creation to stock management.
  • Manage a defined group of agencies, ensuring value for money through framework service agreements and rates.
Evaluation / Measurement
  • Ensure brand visual identities and communication guidelines are properly controlled and executed.
  • Sign off all communication/POS materials following the RASCI process.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate activity success against agreed objectives, KPIs and ROI.
  • Use consumer research and data to evaluate activation success.
  • Track and manage the activity budget, including PO raising.
Internal / External Customer Partnerships
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with Account Controllers/Managers and foster partnership in channel and key customer plans.
  • Establish relationships with key customer contacts to ensure activation compliance.
  • Provide timely communication to sales teams, including face‑to‑face updates.
  • Conduct regular trade visits for effective program execution and competitor insights.
  • Report and analyze brand performance within the channel and recommend remedial actions.
Brand Marketing Partnerships
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing Managers to ensure clear communication and understanding of performance and plan delivery.
Key Relationships
  • Reports to Channel Marketing Manager (Off Trade).
  • Other internal relationships: broader Customer Marketing team, Bartender Advocacy and Insights teams, UK Brand team, UK Off Trade Commercial team, Global Channel & Customer Marketing teams.
  • External relationships: creative and production agencies, Tier 1 customers (e.g. Booker, Dhamecha, Londis, Nisa).
Experience and Skills Experience
  • 3+ years of Marketing or Commercial experience, preferably in POP activation or execution.
  • FMCG or drinks industry background with channel/category dynamics at POP.
  • Customer/Shopper Marketing or commercial experience in field or national account sales.
  • Experience in Off Trade ‘Retail’ channel.
  • Agency and budget management experience.
  • Understanding of Shopper Dynamics, building/ shaping activation plans aligning brand and customer goals.
