Digicon Operator - Packaging & Labels

Location: Croydon

Shift: Double Days Monday - Friday (Early Finish Friday)

Company: Our client is looking for an experienced digicon operator to join an innovative and well established team in Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digicon operator to work for a company with many years in house experience, offering high quality packaging and labels solutions, and a company who heavily invests in the latest equipment.

Role:

• Set up and operate Digicon finishing machine
• Operation of print finishing machinery with accuracy and efficiency
• Monitor quality and consistency of products
• Ink mixing as and when required
• Adjust machine settings for correct registration, tension, and cutting accuracy
• Monitor production to ensure quality and consistency
• Inspect finished labels for defects such as misalignment, poor cuts, or coating issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Troubleshoot finishing problems during production runs
• Maintain production documentation and job records
• Follow health & safety procedures within the production environment

Requirements:

• Experience with in the labels/ print/ packaging industry
• Ideally experienced working on ABG Digicon previously
• Knowledge of die-cutting, laminating, foiling, varnishing, and slitting processes
• Ability to read job specifications and production sheets
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines for projects of various size and scope
• Positive "can do" customer focus and attitude
• Develop knowledge of materials available
• Use initiative and resourcefulness to develop new methods, or propose new solutions
• Maintain operating procedures with attention to detail
