Overview of Project / RoleAssisting in the development of weekly Production Schedules for each delivery area ensuring that customers' material requirements, workload and stores paperwork are prepared, controlled and adhered to in conjunction with Production Managers, Charge hands and the Delivery Manager. Working with cross-functional teams, provide support in coordinating operational activities. Support manufacturing teams in setting up workshops.
Key Accountabilities- Coordination with operations team on clearing parked invoices on SAP for timely payment to suppliers
- Providing support to operations team on setting up meetings and workshops for effective governance setup
- Coordinating schedules for various operational activities for effective manufacturing support processes
- Coordination activities in manufacturing for cross-functional collaboration to assure teams have timely, correct and updated information to make decision and drive accountability
- Produce performance reports and updates in MS Word or Excel, based on information supplied by Production, Planning and Delivery Managers and ensure all stakeholders have relevant information required for progress meetings
- Co-ordinate and respond to incoming customer inquiries within specified area relating to the Workshop's operations, liaising personally with routine correspondence and referring specialist inquiries to the Production and Delivery Manager
- Input data from operational time sheets onto the SAP Manufacturing System accurately and in a timely manner whilst maintaining a comprehensive filing system to ensure data is accessible if required at a later date for reference purposes
- Administration support to the SAP Manufacturing System by raising of Sales Orders and Production Work Orders and day to day updating of relevant delivery information
- Print production documents such as Pick lists, Travelers & associated documents from SAP Production Control System
- Update Visualization boards in readiness of daily visualization meeting for the Management Team to discuss and review performance against schedule
- Monitor customer stock levels ensuring that they are maintained to minimize the occurrence of nil stocks which would impact on train availability
- Download and manipulate Customer Order book data from the SAP Manufacturing System & produce MS Excel spread sheets used in management reports
- Movement and distribution of work, physically tracing and loading of all work bank items to enable smooth delivery

- Competent IT skills - Good knowledge and practical application of MS Office e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook (Essential)
- Microsoft Project (Desirable)
- Detailed knowledge of the SAP system particularly SAP Manufacturing Solution (raising of Sales Orders and Production Works Orders), Timesheet entries and printing of production paperwork (Essential)
- Basic awareness of Health and Safety in a production environment (Essential)
- Continuous Improvement – Lean manufacturing (Essential)
- Proven experience of planning, organisational skills and attention to detail (Essential)
- Experience of working under pressure and dealing with competing demands (Essential)
