The roleThe Footwear Assistant provides essential support to the footwear team, focusing on the technical integrity, fit, and quality of all All Saints footwear. You will ensure product builds are fit for purpose regarding quality, comfort, and durability.
About the teamBased at our Shoreditch office this role reports directly to the Footwear Technologist with a dotted-line supporting role to the Footwear Product Development Manager.
What you’ll be doing (key responsibilities)- Technical Documentation:
Support the Technologist by documenting fitting reports, taking clear photos of issues, and completing supporting documents from Proto stage through to bulk production - Fit & Wearer Trials:
Assist in issuing wearer trials and collating feedback to ensure footwear meets comfort and performance standards. - Database & Library Management:
Maintain and update technical google sheets including the Last Library, Boot Upper Measurements, Materials Database, and BOMs - Organise, track, and manage incoming and outgoing samples (proto, SMS, confirmation, production).
- Prepare samples for fit sessions, ensuring they are correctly labelled and ready for review.
- Maintain an organized sample library and ensure accurate sample records.
- Process Tracking:
Help update the Production Sealing Tracker and ensure vendors supply AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) reports for technical review prior to shipment. - Quality Assurance:
Support the Technologist in conducting quality checks in the office and at the Distribution Centre, identifying manufacturing issues and alerting vendors. - Support the Technologist in conducting quality checks on samples & bulk production (in the office and the DC), identifying issues and advising the Technologists and vendors when required.
- Support general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects for the footwear department, including scheduling meetings and vendor schedules when visiting, preparing presentations, raising Netsuite Pos, completing design details on PIM and managing correspondence.
- Assist in providing and presenting data reports to improve vendor performance.
- Assist in organizing and preparing for weekly team meetings.

- Basic understanding of footwear construction, fit, grading and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work at pace in a fast-paced East London studio environment while absorbing new technical skills quickly.
- Basic proficiency in technical drawing and creating tech packs.
- Basic knowledge of fabric & raw material properties, performance, and testing.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams and vendors.
- Problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to improving footwear quality and production efficiency.
- Basic knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Interest in learning about digital technology in development (e.g., 3D fitting software).
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
