You will manage the technical development process from initial prototype through to bulk production, ensuring exceptional fit, quality and performance across all products.

This is a full-time hybrid role, based in our London office Monday to Thursday, with one day working from home on Fridays. Core hours are 9.00am – 5.00pm.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the technical integrity of the Wyse brand, working closely with Design and Buying to deliver beautifully made, commercially successful womenswear.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of outerwear, denim, trousers and knitwear categories, managing development from concept to production
  • Collaborate closely with Design at the start of each season to review and refine tech packs, ensuring first prototypes are returned as close as possible to design intent
  • Lead fit sessions alongside Design and Buying, ensuring consistent fit, strong block development and best-in-class construction methods
  • Manage and approve prototypes, salesman samples and pre-production samples within critical path timelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and production issues, delivering effective and commercially sound solutions
  • Work with Buying to optimise manufacturing processes while maintaining quality standards and managing costs
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments from early development stages, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of specifications, graded measurements, patterns and quality documentation
  • Analyse returns data to identify fit or quality trends, implementing improvements to support achievement of fit returns targets
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical specifications are clearly understood and adhered to
  • Manage wash development and performance standards for denim, including shrinkage control and colour fastness
  • Oversee outerwear construction standards, including interlinings, padding, seam finishes and hardware performance
  • Ensure knitwear performance standards are met, including gauge consistency, yarn behaviour and pilling management
  • Ensure compliance with UK/EU regulations, garment testing requirements and Wyse quality standards
  • Support the Technical Manager in standardising key blocks to improve fitting accuracy, speed and overall product performance
  • Liaise with warehouse and customer service teams to investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee accurate washcare and fabric composition information for the Wyse website
  • Regularly review stores, online performance and competitor product to maintain strong market awareness
  • Work alongside Buying to manage and maintain critical path for your product areas
Requirements
  • Degree in Fashion Technology or equivalent qualification, or relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in womenswear garment technology
  • Strong technical knowledge across outerwear, denim, trousers and knitwear
  • Excellent understanding of pattern cutting, grading and garment construction
  • Proven experience leading fit sessions with confidence and authority
  • Strong knowledge of fabric performance, testing standards and compliance requirements
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and supplier management skills
  • Commercially aware with the ability to balance quality, cost and delivery
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and technically strong Garment Technologist to make a meaningful impact within a growing premium womenswear brand.

If you are passionate about delivering exceptional product and take pride in fit, quality and construction excellence, we would love to hear from you.
