Packaging Technologist – South East

This position has now been filled.

My client is a successful run family‑owned group of companies that develops, manufactures, distributes, markets and exports pharmaceutical and toiletry products.

• Work as the sole packaging development expert to develop quality and functional packaging that satisfies specific and speculative customer briefs.
• Provide technical support to all related departments.
• Originate, issue, control and maintain Packaging Component Specifications.
• Attend and advise NPD meetings.
• Identify, brief, control, carry out and conclude compatibility testing of all packaging components within all NPD & PCP activity according to agreed deadlines.
• Identify, evaluate, and bring to the company new packaging concepts and technologies to deliver innovative leading‑edge solutions and/or improved efficiencies/cost savings.
• Undertake external audits of suppliers and third‑party contractors.
• Co‑ordinate production line trials.
• Approve artwork ensuring it is technically correct, uses suitable print methods and liaises with customers and design houses.

• Minimum of two years packaging development experience within an FMCG environment.
• Toiletries background is an advantage.
