Reports to:
Shift Supervisor
To undertake the setting and operating of CNC machine tools to produce components to the required quality standards and in accordance with required work schedules.
KEY TASKS &ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Processes are carried out in accordance with laid down SOP’s within the Department
- Deburring of components to required standard is completed within machine cycle
- Required quality standards are achieved
- All relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times including Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, SSW’s arising from RA’s/COSHH and Material Safety Data Sheets
- Work is completed in accordance with required work schedules
- Productivity is maintained so that the effectiveness and efficiency of the department is at the highest level.
- 5S activities
- Continuous Improvement programmes
- Components are not damaged through mishandling or faulty processing
- Accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling.
- To undertake and deliver any formal training in-house or external relevant to the job and adopt modern practices within the Department.
- Ensure products meet the required specification and quality standard.
- Comply with all H&S Procedures.
- Carry out Inspection Approvals in accordance with Company Procedures.
- Machine shop experience.
- Experience of operating/programming CNC machines and tool setting.
- Experience of being able to inspect components in accordance with quality procedures and standards.
