• Define the sub‑category needs and sourcing strategy with product teams.
• Analyse product components and manufacturing processes, taking costing into account.
• Identify suppliers and factories, selecting the right mix of vendors, locations and risk profile.
• Manage tenders with buying offices and negotiate supplier selection.
• Organise buying programmes with product development, strategic sourcing and manufacturing excellence teams.

• Strong product expertise in clothing/textile, building range structure, product development, costing, materials & components and manufacturing processes.
• Personal buying experience, preferably in the home improvement sector.
• In‑depth knowledge of the sub‑category products and manufacturing processes.
• Fluent spoken and written English; other language skills are advantageous.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and Product Development.
• Senior level influence, presence and impact, building good rapport.
• Highly organised, translating goals into personal and team plans.
