Overview

Are you looking to progress your leadership skills and be at the forefront of change? We are seeking a Community Nursing Team Lead to work within the North Bedfordshire Locality of Bedford. You will be a strong leader, focused on achieving real improvements in outcomes for patients and will be confident in your ability to support, coach and develop individuals and teams to deliver consistently high quality services.

You will be innovative, forward thinking, self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational and line management of community nursing teams, working alongside clinicians to support complex patient reviews and mentor nurse colleagues.
  • Manage two caseloads and the aligned staff, collaborating with the existing team lead and service manager to deliver high‑quality, person-centered care.
  • Support, coach and develop individuals and teams to sustain high standards of service delivery.
  • Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders in a collaborative, change‑oriented environment.
Location and Travel

The post will be based in Twinwoods in Clapham, Bedford, and travel requirements apply due to the nature of the role. The successful applicant will be based at Steppingley Hub aligned to the Ampthill Community nursing teams.

Qualifications
  • DNSPQ qualification (essential).
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
