Thames Reach is a homelessness charity based in London, specialising in helping people with complex and multiple needs, including those associated with poor mental health and substance misuse. We manage a range of services, including street outreach, frontline hostels, day services, specialist supported housing and employment and skills schemes.
Last year we helped more than 12,000 people.

Role

Purpose:

The Lead Manager is responsible for a team within a geographical or functional area. The Lead Manager reports to the Area Manager. They will manage and motivate their team and service in achieving the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery. They will:

  • Co-ordinate all activities within the project/team effectively and maintain Thames Reach standards in relation to people using services and other stakeholders.
  • Support the mission and objectives of Thames Reach by the skilled leadership and management of a high quality and effective team/project within an operating environment which is complex and changing.
  • Contribute to and implement the team's aims and objectives, work plans, operational policies and procedures in such a way that they contribute to the mission of Thames Reach and deliver on business plan objectives.
  • Be responsible for devising workplans, while working within organisational policies and ensure there is continuous improvement of their service. They will also be responsible for effective liaison, producing monitoring information, and hosting visits.
