Fire Safety Centre of Learning & Excellence Team Leader – London Fire Brigade
Prevention and Protection is seeking a Fire Safety Team Leader to manage the Centre of Learning and Excellence (CLE). This is a challenging and rewarding role focused on developing delegates so the Brigade can effectively fulfil its statutory Fire Safety duties.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the CLE team, including:
- Human resources functions for mentors and delegates
- Planning, logistics, vetting, and quality assurance
Support the development of delegates under current fire safety legislation.
Identify and agree personal development needs; monitor own performance.
Prepare and deliver training to team members on new or updated standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure effective delivery of the CLE development programme.
Provide helpful and timely customer service to external organisations and members of the public.
Offer advice on Fire Safety regulations and guidance to:
- Delegates
- Mentors
- External organisations
- Members of the public
Undertake additional duties as required, commensurate with grade.
Working Arrangements
The role isbased full‑time on site at the CLE in Shoreditch.
No hybrid or flexible workingis available due to the nature of the responsibilities.
Minimum-level Requirements
- Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety
- Evidence of teaching skills
- Previous management experience
