Director | Leading retail brand

A fast-paced, multi-site retail business is looking to appoint an experienced People Director to lead its people agenda during a period of growth.

As part of the senior leadership team, this role will shape culture, strengthen leadership capability and ensure people strategy supports commercial performance in a high-volume environment.

This is a broad, hands-on leadership role with ownership of the full employee lifecycle. You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary People team across talent, ER, L&D, reward and payroll, and act as a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders.

• Deliver a people strategy aligned to a fast-moving retail operation
• Lead workforce planning, organisational design and culture initiatives
• Partner with senior leaders and operational teams across multiple sites
• Oversee complex ER matters and ensure legal compliance
• Drive performance, leadership development and succession planning
• Lead reward, benefits and pay benchmarking
• Set people KPIs, manage budgets and develop the People team

• Proven People Director with strong experience in retail or hospitality
• Strong understanding of multi-site, high-volume environments
• Commercial, pragmatic and confident operating at leadership level
• Strong employment law knowledge
• CIPD Chartered preferred
