Responsibilities
  • Programme Leadership: Own the end-to-end delivery of the outsourcing programme, including governance, budget, roadmap and stakeholder engagement across multiple regions.
  • Vendor Oversight: Drive vendor selection and contract negotiation. Act as the primary interface with external partners (e.g. Broadridge, custodians, clearing houses) ensuring SLAs, implementation milestones, and compliance are met.
  • Process Redesign: Collaborate with internal ops, technology and risk teams to re-engineer settlement workflows for outsourced operating models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Influence and manage senior stakeholders across operations, legal, compliance, technology, finance, and third-party vendors.
  • Change Management: Oversee business readiness, training, and transition to BAU support, ensuring minimal disruption during go-live.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the outsourcing framework aligns with local and international regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, PRA, CSDR, EMIR).
  • Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise on capital markets settlement (equities, fixed income, etc.), particularly in the UK, EMEA, and US regions.
Qualifications
  • 5 to 8+ years’ experience working within capital markets consulting or transformation roles, ideally within a Tier 1 bank, consultancy, or technology provider.
  • Deep understanding of processes and systems within settlements, clearing, custody, or post-trade processing.
  • Experience with systems such as Broadridge (Impact, BPS, Gloss), Smart Stream, or Clearstream.
  • Proven track record leading complex, multi-year outsourcing or vendor transformation programmes.
  • Extensive knowledge of outsourcing strategies, delivery models, and regulatory considerations and regulatory requirements (e.g. FCA, PRA, CSDR) in post-trade outsourcing.
  • Demonstrated experience steering or supporting large-scale transformation programmes, including offshore/onshore models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global delivery environment.
