The Head of Major Client Strategy will hold a critical senior leadership role within Price Forbes Re, responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of our relationships with key carrier clients across our global business.

Acting as a trusted partner to insurance company executives, this individual will oversee the development and execution of tailored reinsurance and capital solutions that align with each client’s strategic, underwriting, and financial objectives. The Head of Major Client Strategy will also be responsible for building the internal structures within Price Forbes Re to facilitate collaboration and cross-selling, streamlining and refining client service standards, and building a robust ‘one Price Forbes Re’ culture.

The role combines leadership in client strategy with deep reinsurance expertise and commercial acumen, ensuring our firm remains a leading strategic advisor within the London and global reinsurance markets.

Key Responsibilities

Client Strategy & Relationship Leadership

  • Lead the strategic account management and planning process for major carrier clients, ensuring alignment with their capital management, underwriting, and growth priorities.
  • Serve as senior relationship owner for designated global and regional carriers, maintaining active engagement with C-suite stakeholders.
  • Anticipate emerging client needs and market developments to deliver forward-looking, innovative reinsurance solutions.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of client service, delivery, and strategic engagement across all senior touchpoints.
  • Close collaboration with other parts of the Price Forbes business, as well as with leaders of our parent company, The Ardonagh Group, so that carrier relationship strategy is aligned.
Business Development & Market Engagement
  • Identify and capture growth opportunities across existing and prospective carrier relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with treaty and facultative placement teams, analytics, and capital advisory functions to assist with the delivery of reinsurance and alternative capital programmes.
  • Represent the firm at London Market and global industry events, building visibility and thought leadership within the reinsurance community.
