Salary and Location

£32,500 - £35,000 base salary + up to £20,000 bonus (OTE £55,000). Manchester City Centre – Fully Onsite.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Retention Team Leader to join a market‑leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Occupational Health provider based in Manchester City Centre. You will lead a high‑performing Relationship Management / Client Retention team, playing a key role in retaining existing clients, identifying upsell opportunities and developing team capability through coaching, mentoring and performance analysis. This role is ideal for a confident people leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, fully onsite environment and enjoys balancing commercial outcomes with team development.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading, mentoring and motivating a team of Relationship / Retention Executives
  • Driving client retention, renewals and upsell performance
  • Conducting regular 1:1s, coaching sessions and quality assurance reviews
  • Setting and monitoring individual and team KPIs
  • Analysing performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Supporting client and broker meetings around renewals and service delivery
  • Coordinating training plans for new starters and ongoing development
  • Promoting a collaborative, high‑performance team culture
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience as a Retention Team Leader, Team Leader, Account Management Lead, or similar
  • Strong background in client retention, relationship management or customer success
  • Confident people manager with coaching and mentoring experience
  • Commercial mindset with experience driving upsell or revenue growth
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel essential)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working fully onsite in Manchester City Centre
