£70,000 - £75,000 per annum

We are working with a well‑established construction consultancy specialising in high‑end residential projects for private clients across prime central London. Due to continued growth, the Director is seeking an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of project and team management, allowing him to focus on strategic business development. This is a senior, hands‑on role suited to someone from a Quantity Surveying background who has delivered projects from inception to completion under JCT contracts and is confident leading both people and projects.

• Lead high‑end residential projects from pre‑contract through to final account
• Take full commercial responsibility for assigned projects
• Prepare, manage, and control project budgets and cost plans
• Produce detailed cost reporting and financial forecasts
• Administer and manage JCT contracts
• Oversee variations, valuations, payments, and final accounts
• Proactively troubleshoot commercial and project issues as they arise
• Line manage a small in‑house team of approximately 5 staff
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and external consultants
• Act as a key point of contact for private clients, maintaining strong relationships
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and day‑to‑day guidance to the commercial team
• Take responsibility for workload planning and project resourcing
• Relieve the Director of day‑to‑day operational and team management
• Contribute to improving internal processes and commercial controls
• Support business growth through consistent project delivery and client satisfaction

• Strong QS / commercial background (Commercial Manager, SQS, or Associate Director level)
• Proven experience delivering high‑end residential projects
• Extensive experience working under JCT contracts
• Demonstrable experience managing projects from start to finish
• Confident managing teams and leading projects independently
• Strong experience in budgeting, cost control, and cost reporting
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve commercial and project challenges
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills
• Comfortable working with demanding private clients in prime central London

• £72,000 salary
