We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our team within Vistry South London, at our Southall site (UB1 3AJ
). As our Commercial Manager, you will feed into strategy and implement policy, enabling project teams to deliver through effective management and leadership of assigned teams. - In accordance with agreed authorisation levels, comment, review and sign‑off subcontractor recommendations with Commercial & Construction Directors
- Review and comment on subcontractor Articles of Agreement
- Communicate external influences across the team and implement strategy
- Responsible for implementing supply chain risk management
- Responsible for providing advice to team on resolving contractual disputes and legal matters in a timely manner
- Responsible for implementing ethical subcontract administration practice and driving continuous quality and efficiency improvement
- Review and comment on project cost reports with team and present to Commercial Director at monthly cost report meetings
- Implement company‑wide strategic decisions
- Responsible for ensuring high standards of cash flow forecasting
- Review and comment on project cash flows with team and present to Commercial Director at cash flow meetings
- Responsible for providing supporting information in order to facilitate build contracts
- Responsible for ensuring Joint Venture partners are informed of project progress
- Responsible for maintaining positive and successful client relationships
- Ensuring that all funding conditions precedent are fulfilled
- Attend pre‑construction to operations project handover meetings
- Provide continuous feedback to pre‑construction of current market rates to inform land bids
- Create an environment to drive engagement and high performance
- Manage all people processes – absences, performance, discipline, holidays
- Manage the performance of team, 121s, appraisals and under performance
- Role Model and drive the practice of Vistry Group People Behaviours
- Undertake regular team meetings
- Recruit Managing Surveyors and support Managing Surveyors to undertake recruitment
