Work Match, Richmond and Wandsworth council’s jobs and skills brokerage is recruiting for a Talent Management Officer to add further resource to an already successful employment delivery team. The Talent Management Officer is the key link between resident engagement and the identification of a resident’s skills, ambitions and development needs, supporting them on their employment pathway and building a talent pool to meet local employment ambitions.

You will be an ambitious self‑starter ready to join a successful job brokerage service for talented residents of Wandsworth. Your employability and employment support skills will deliver high‑quality, resident‑focused employment support by engaging with local people. You should be able to deliver high quality advice, CV preparation, job readiness training and successfully match locals to jobs created in the boroughs, working with the Business Engagement teams.
This is an exciting time to help residents realise their potential and raise their aspirations into the local labour market.
- Effectively engage with a wide range of Wandsworth residents registered with Work Match.
- Assess work readiness and enable residents to access appropriate employment support or training.
- Manage a talent pool of work‑ready residents and liaise with colleagues to place them into local job openings.
- Work closely with Partnerships and Commissioning to ensure training delivered is resident‑responsive and demand‑led, based on local evidence.
- Knowledge of barriers to work for the unemployed and under‑employed.
- Knowledge of suitable provisions to enhance individual work readiness.
- Experience delivering high‑impact and innovative employability programmes.
- Experience managing a wide caseload of people seeking employment and training.
- Experience providing advice, guidance and developing action plans for those wishing to enter employment and training.
- Ability to ascertain work readiness, identify barriers and create interventions to address them.
