Water Technician - Level 3

Key Responsibilities

• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
• Maintain audit compliance – no more than one audit failure per year.
• Act as lead technician or responsible person when working in a team of two or more technicians.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation and is documented at all times.
• Carry out tasks in accordance with WCS Group procedures and method statements.
• Maintain and promote Health and Safety standards within your team, sub‑contractors, and clients and the company.
• Plan and schedule work to maximise efficiency.
• Liaise with client representatives as required.
• Report any pertinent issues to your field manager or client representative.
• Adhere to the client’s specific Health and Safety/Safe Working practices.
• Identify training needs and bring these to the attention of your Line Manager.
• Train less experienced technicians and engineers.
• Occasionally work in any other role considered reasonably within capabilities.
• Ensure all equipment used is safe and fit for purpose.
• Have skills in Level 1 & 2 and, as appropriate, technical service (closed heating and chilled system testing, cooling tower weekly/monthly checks and water treatment of boilers), plumbing & water treatment remedial skills, and acid descaling of boilers, towers, and condensers.
