Cottage Cleaner

We’re looking for a Holiday Cottage Cleaner to prepare our popular holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight.

Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'.

Pay: £12.25 per hour - we’re currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2026.

For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

All our Holiday Cottages, located around the Island, are of the highest standards and in stunning locations, all very individual and unique. The cottages range from sleeps 2 up to sleeps 14. Depending on which cottage you will be working in, you may be working alone or as part of a group.

Transport is an important consideration for this role.

The Holidays Team is supportive and friendly.

Our status is "Every Stay Matters", and we are looking for individuals who want to create memorable holidays for our guests.

On changeover days, you’ll make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well‑presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.

Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams, and extra measures are in place to protect staff.
