Job DetailsTo provide high level technical support to the Field Services Manager and maintenance teams, in addition to ensuring critical focus on maintenance and fault performance on the contract. Perform high level fault repair activities and provide Engineering support to the Field Services Manager on various Maintenance disciplines. Escalating and liaising with other business units and 3rd parties as required. To provide subject matter expert knowledge to the Field Services Maintenance Team.
Participate in training development of all staff.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead high priority maintenance regime and ensure fault SLA are achieved.
- Provide SME input to the team and Field Services Manager.
- Act as a point of escalation during critical incidents when required.
- Develop and provide expert technical training, technical coaching, and mentoring to other members of the team.
- When required complete audits of the Field Services team to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
- Provide installation and Commissioning of enhanced, replacement and new equipment.
- Provide technical & administrative documentation
- Able to supervision of Sub
- Contractors. - Able to write Test Specifications.
- Able to update Technical Drawings.
- Produce Technical reports.
- Support Project Installation works.
- Oversee Factory Acceptance & Site Acceptance Testing.
- Provide Engineering support to the Field Services Maintenance Teams when required.
- Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System.
- Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures.
- Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them.
- Responsible for provision of all electrical/electronic maintenance and repair (reactive and planned preventative Maintenance) of all work for on-street assets.
- Carry out workshop repairs & modifications to component level if required.
- Perform daily checks on all vehicles and trailers, vehicle is stocked prior to commencement of shift rosters.
- Skills and competencies are in-line with the requirements of the role and the role holder does not put themselves, colleagues, or members of the public at risk conducting activities without suitable skills and precautions.
- Responsible for quality assurance and sign off of work.
- Responsible for completing all required documentation and record keeping in accordance with in-force processes and procedures, and in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Responsible for performing all duties in-line with all in-force statutory & regulatory, as well as Cubic specific policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
Electrical, Health & Safety, ISO, Cubic Management System (CMS), IT & Security, Highways, Sector Scheme and Environmental. - Act at all times as a role model for Cubic, our Clients and Sponsors.
- Identify and report any breaches of security and fraud, and the role holder’s responsibilities around avoidance and reduction in crime, vandalism and abuse relating to Cubic assets and staff.
- Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Able to work in a safety critical arena, roadside, in Tunnels and at height.
- Work shift and/or Call out rota as required by the Business.
- Substitute for the Field Manager when required
