Hours:

36 per week

06:45am - 16:30pm Monday to Thursday

06:45am - 13:00pm Friday

This post is to provide support to staff, students and members of the community within all types of Council properties. To undertake all duties relating to the operation, security and maintenance of the building and surrounding grounds, ensuring facilities/equipment set up for users, reactive cleaning, portering duties and litter picking duties. You will receive all the training required to carry out the janitorial function.

• Receive training required to carry out the janitorial function.

• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
• Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outwith the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
• An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both pre-employment checks being satisfactory.
