Overview

Are you ready to make a real impact at London Zoo? As our Grounds & Logistics Site Presentation Operative, you'll play a vital role in keeping the zoo looking its best and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all our visitors. Working mainly during school holidays, public holidays and special events like Zoo Nights across a fixed term contract, you'll tackle a range of hands-on tasks, everything from site cleaning and waste management to supporting exciting zoo events.

Responsibilities
  • Outer perimeter litter picking and carpark checks that involve litter removal and public bin changing.
  • Weeding of areas using tools and upkeeping monuments across site.
  • Litter picking across the London Zoo site front of house areas.
  • Public on site bin changing and ensuring bins are accessible and presentable for visitors.
Requirements
  • Experience in ground maintenance that involves site cleanliness and hygiene procedures.
  • Good interpersonal skills working as part of a large and diverse team.
  • Confidence in following health and safety procedures.
  • Able to handle physically demanding tasks feet throughout shift in all weather conditions.
