Caretaker, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic, Facility Maintenance

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker
, on a 3-month contract
, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £15.86 - £21.13 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine caretaking duties including cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance of communal areas.
• Ensure buildings, facilities, and surrounding areas are safe, clean, and well maintained.
• Report repairs, hazards, or safety concerns to the appropriate teams.
• Support residents and colleagues by providing access, moving equipment, and assisting with general requests.
• Lock/unlock premises and ensure security of buildings.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, cleaning, or a similar maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of health & safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out manual labour and use equipment/tools safely.
  
  Good communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach.

Please note:

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires a
  Basic DBS
