The post‑holder will be employed on a wide range of fault‑finding and maintenance duties. She/he will be responsible for maintaining all Building Fabric, Mechanical & Electrical building services and equipment within the Trust properties.

Essential Experience
• Relevant experience of NHS hospital environment or similar establishment.
• Experience of building maintenance and systems.
• Experience of working on specialist hospital equipment.
• Experience of lone working.
• Experience to follow detailed engineering/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge H&S Legislation and hospital specifics (HTM's).
Desirable Experience
• Knowledge of hospital Health Building Notes (HBN).
Essential Knowledge
• Good knowledge of H&S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH.
• Basic computer skills.
Essential Skills
• Desire and ability to work as part of Theatre small team.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Versatility in maintenance services, working on own initiative and as part of team.
• Flexible to multi‑skilling and responsive to changes in technology.
• Knowledge of electrical installations including Fire Alarm systems and Stand‑by generators.
Essential Other
• Committed to undertake the personal and development plan as identified or agreed.
• Ability to interact with all levels of people in and around the trust.
• Ability to lift/push/pull weights in accordance with the Trust Manual Handling policy.
• Full Clean Driving License.
