The post‑holder will be employed on a wide range of fault‑finding and maintenance duties. She/he will be responsible for maintaining all Building Fabric, Mechanical & Electrical building services and equipment within the Trust properties.

Person Specification Essential Qualifications- Recognised apprenticeship (City & Guild 236/NVQ level 3 standard / BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent). Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant experience of NHS hospital environment or similar establishment.
- Experience of building maintenance and systems.
- Experience of working on specialist hospital equipment.
- Experience of lone working.
- Experience to follow detailed engineering/electrical drawings and specifications.
- Working knowledge H&S Legislation and hospital specifics (HTM's).
- Knowledge of hospital Health Building Notes (HBN).
- Good knowledge of H&S Legislation and some knowledge of COSHH.
- Basic computer skills.
- Desire and ability to work as part of Theatre small team.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Versatility in maintenance services, working on own initiative and as part of team.
- Flexible to multi‑skilling and responsive to changes in technology.
- Knowledge of electrical installations including Fire Alarm systems and Stand‑by generators.
- Committed to undertake the personal and development plan as identified or agreed.
- Ability to interact with all levels of people in and around the trust.
- Ability to lift/push/pull weights in accordance with the Trust Manual Handling policy.
- Full Clean Driving License.
