Overview

- Manage the flow of supply chain from materials, equipment, and services from suppliers to the offshore platform whilst ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee the Purchasing Section and ensure it functions in the most efficient manner.
- Responsible for the timely procurement, sourcing for correct specifications and negotiation for the best prices and quality of stores & spares for the Company’s designated fleet of vessels.
- Review and update purchasing procedure.
- Procurement and Sourcing: Sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, spare parts, and services. Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with vendors and suppliers whilst maintain good working relationship with strategic suppliers.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinating shipments and arrangement of logistics support to the various vessels/rig
- Inventory and Warehouse Management: Oversee the receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking of inventory at the shore warehouse. Ensure optimal stock levels.
- Documentation and Compliance: Preparing and managing all necessary documentation, including purchase orders (PO), invoices, shipping and customs clearance documents. Adhere to industry regulations and safety standards.
- Operational Support: Manage supply chain operations, ie liaising with internal stakeholders and external parties (freight forwarders, suppliers, clients) to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking the status of orders and shipments, monitoring vendor performance, analyzing logistical data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and providing reports to management for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Problem-Solving and
Risk Management:
To handle critical issues such as delivery disruptions or supply chain problems, and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
- Experience in the marine/offshore industry preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and detail-oriented
- Able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in relevant industry
