Employment Paralegal

We are working with a highly regarded City law firm in London that advises a premium client base across national and international markets.

The firm is seeking an Employment Paralegal to support a busy and well-established Employment team across contentious and non-contentious matters.

This role offers exposure to complex advisory work, tribunal claims, and strategic employment issues for high-profile clients, making it an excellent opportunity for an Employment Paralegal looking to develop within a top-tier City environment and progress long term.

The Firm

The successful Employment Paralegal will be joining a respected City firm known for its commercial approach, high-quality work, and strong client relationships. The Employment Paralegal will support multiple Partners and Solicitors, assisting on a broad range of employment matters for corporate clients, senior executives, and international organisations.

The Role

As an Employment Paralegal, you will work closely with Partners and Solicitors, gaining hands-on exposure to employment matters from instruction through to resolution.

The role will include:

Supporting on contentious employment matters, including Employment Tribunal claims and settlement negotiations.

Assisting with non-contentious advisory work such as contracts of employment, policies, handbooks, and dismissal advice.

Drafting correspondence, legal documents, and supporting schedules for employment matters.

Managing case files, deadlines, and document production across multiple matters.

Conducting legal research on employment law developments and case law.

Liaising with clients, counsel, ACAS, and Employment Tribunals as required.

Providing wider administrative and compliance support to the Employment team, including file opening, document management, and billing support.

The Employment Paralegal

You will be proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in developing a career within employment law.

The Employment Paralegal must have:

A strong and consistent academic background, ideally supported by a law degree or relevant legal qualifications.

Previous experience within employment law, either as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar role.

Strong drafting and document production skills, with excellent attention to detail.

The ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced City environment.

Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
