UK Financial Regulatory Lawyer (FCA Authorisations)

We are working with a client who is seeking a UK-qualified financial regulatory lawyer with hands-on experience of FCA authorisation applications to support their legal and regulatory function on a flexible basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a regulatory solicitor who enjoys working in fast-paced, regulated environments and is comfortable advising on complex FCA-related matters, either in-house or alongside senior stakeholders.

• Advising on FCA authorisation and variation of permission (VoP) applications
• Drafting and reviewing submissions and supporting documentation for the FCA
• Providing regulatory advice across financial services, fintech, or regulated businesses
• Interpreting and applying FCA rules and guidance (including threshold conditions)
• Supporting internal stakeholders on regulatory strategy, governance, and compliance matters
• Liaising with regulators and responding to FCA queries where required

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (NQ-3
  
  PQE)
• Strong experience in UK financial regulation
  , ideally with direct exposure to FCA authorisations
• Background in financial services, fintech, payments, or regulated advisory work
• Comfortable working autonomously and delivering pragmatic, commercial advice
• Prior in-house experience or secondment exposure is highly desirable
• Available on a contract or flexible basis via Accuflex
