Business Crime Associate – London
A leading litigation firm is looking to hire a Business Crime Associate to join its investigations team in London.
This is a firm built around high-stakes disputes. With around 125 people in total — including 14 partners, roughly 40 lawyers and a substantial paralegal team — it operates at the serious end of the litigation market. The work is genuinely top tier and the firm has a long-standing reputation for handling complex matters
The practice is split broadly into two core areas: business crime & investigations, and civil/commercial litigation. On the investigations side, the team includes some of the most respected names in the market, known for their work on major corporate investigations, regulatory matters and cross-border criminal issues.
The RoleAssociates are involved in heavyweight business crime and investigations work from an early stage. Matters regularly include corporate and individual investigations, fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions, financial regulation, insider dealing and tax-related investigations, often with parallel civil or international elements.
Clients range from corporates and financial institutions to governments and high-net-worth individuals, and cases are frequently high profile and strategically complex.
The FirmThis firm is open about what it offers employees. It won’t always match the very highest City salaries, but it competes strongly on quality of work, responsibility and culture.
The working environment is widely regarded as one of the firm’s biggest strengths. There is a genuine effort to manage workloads sensibly, with a target of around 1,330 hours, policies designed to avoid unnecessary rush‑hour travel, and an expectation of roughly 40–60% office attendance rather than a rigid structure.
It’s a sociable place to work, with regular firm events and a collaborative, low‑ego atmosphere. Associates are trusted, supported and encouraged to develop their own judgment rather than being over‑managed.
About youYou’ll be a Business Crime Associate (at least 2+) with solid experience in investigations or white‑collar work, comfortable dealing with complex issues and motivated by the substance of the work. You’ll value autonomy, strong mentorship and being part of a genuinely collegiate litigation practice.
Remuneration- Competitive salary with excellent bonus structure (bonuses of up to £40K are not unusual)
