Risk and Compliance Lawyer

A leading City law firm is seeking a Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join its expanding Risk & Compliance function. This is a permanent, full-time role offering high visibility and real influence across the firm.

Working closely with the Risk & Compliance Director (COLP), you will provide firm-wide advice on regulatory, professional conduct and risk issues, manage day-to-day compliance matters, and help shape policies, procedures and best practice as the firm continues to grow.

• Advise on SRA Principles, Code of Conduct, conflicts, confidentiality and complaints
• Draft, maintain and embed risk & compliance policies and registers
• Support insurance matters, audits, accreditations and regulatory reporting
• Deliver training and promote a strong compliance culture
• Support data protection, HR-related compliance and contract reviews

• Qualified solicitor (ideally 5+ PQE)
• Experience in risk & compliance within a law firm, or significant exposure from fee-earning
• Strong working knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance
• Confident, practical adviser with excellent communication and organisational skills
