Senior Associate Lawyer- Criminal Litigation

Overview

A government body are seeking a Senior Associate Lawyer to join their public law team to focus on criminal litigation work. This is a full-time role, for an initial 6 month contract and requires 2 days a week in their London office (Southwark).

• Conduct litigation in criminal proceedings, primarily fare evasion prosecutions and prosecutions under taxi and private hire vehicle legislation.
• Although not anticipated, you may be required to conduct advocacy in the magistrates’ courts if required.
• Draft and review witness statements, manage disclosure, and correspond with litigants or their representatives.

• Minimum of 3 years PQE as a Lawyer, and you must have demonstrable criminal litigation experience.
• Experience of public and regulatory law and/or familiarity with compliance and enforcement is desirable.

Day rate:
