We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to join Snap Inc.! As a member of the Legal team and working from our London office, you’ll play a key role in Snap’s commercial transactions and advise teams throughout the company globally on legal issues spanning the breadth of Snap’s products and services.

* What you’ll do:

*** Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret agreements covering a range of Snap’s commercial activities around the world, with a focus on Snap’s strategic partnerships in the telecoms, AI, AR, hardware, and adtech sectors
* Analyse and advise on complex cross-border issues related to data privacy, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, net neutrality, technology and platform integrations (including SDK, API, and data licensing), hardware and software distribution, and co-promotional partnerships
* Provide tactical and strategic advice to Snap business and product leaders related to commercial transactions
* Assist in creating and improving templates, online terms, policies, and processes for Snap as we develop new products and enter new markets
* Collaborate with leaders across Snap to understand and support business priorities while influencing business strategy and appropriately mitigating legal risk
* Coordinate cross-functionally with colleagues from every part of the company
* Handle other commercial projects at the discretion of the leads of the Snap legal commercial team
** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
*** Excellent analytical, communication, organisational, negotiation, and drafting skills
* Excellent legal and business judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously
* Ability to drive collaboration and share knowledge and expertise

* Ability to identify and resolve legal issues quickly

* Minimum Qualifications:

*** Qualified, practising solicitor or equivalent with excellent academic credentials
* 8+ years of post-qualification experience practising law in-house or at a law firm
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

*** 6+ years of experience advising on commercial technology transactions, ideally with a focus on strategic partnerships in-house at an internet, media, telecoms, or technology company
* Experience working for or with companies in the telecom industry, e.g., OEMs, carriers, mobile platforms, and network solutions
* Experience advising technology companies on B2C regulatory, product regulatory, and/or data privacy issues
