** AVEVA is looking for a talented Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, to join our legal team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to become the trusted expert on employment law across EMEA, making a real difference in a fast-paced and innovative  this newly created role, you will work closely with our Global Head of Employment and collaborate with colleagues across the UK and Continental Europe, with a particular focus on Germany.

** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide legal support to HR across EMEA, especially in the UK and Europe.
* Lead legal engagement with European works councils, particularly in Germany.
* Advise on employee relations, employment projects, and TUPE matters.
* Monitor legislative changes and guide HR on implementation.
* Support AVEVA’s whistleblowing/speak-up programme.
* Collaborate with the Legal Director on commercial disputes as needed.
** Skills and Experience
**** Essential requirements
*** Qualified employment lawyer with a practising certificate in the UK or major European jurisdiction.
* Experience with works councils in Germany and understanding of other European jurisdictions
* Several years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and European works council legislation.
* Prior in-house legal experience, with ability to hit the ground running.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
** Desired skills
*** Additional European language skills, preferably German.
* Willingness to take on broader legal work, including commercial disputes.
* A proactive, collaborative attitude and strong cultural fit with AVEVA’s values.
