As a Claims Adjuster, you are respected for your technical expertise. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mind-set. You take ownership and drive successful outcomes for the client and AIG.
** How you'll make an impact
*** Claims handling, coverage determination, quantum analysis and legal liability assessment where appropriate and within authority limits.
* Work with the Head of Aerospace UK and the Aerospace team to ensure effective vendor and litigation management on all lead claims.
* Broad internal stakeholder communication where required.
* Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance review processes.
* Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for Aerospace claims, consistent with global best practices.
* Obtain and improve on a good standard of technical claims competence and efficiency.
* Feedback claims trend analysis to team and internal stakeholders.
* Attend claims reviews and travel, as required
** What we are looking for:
*** A person with experience in the insurance industry, preferably in Specialty.
* Some experience of claims handling, ideally arising from a Specialty environment.
* An interest in gaining knowledge of Aviation specific clauses and wordings to enable accurate and consistent interpretation.
* Work towards the ability to manage external vendors including lawyers, surveyors for the benefit of the client, AIG and the following market.
* Ability to deliver timely and accurate information to our key stakeholders: the client, the broker and our underwriters, as well as claims management.
* A strong team player with good communication skills who thrives in a dynamic claims handling environment.
* The ability to analyse and interpret data from many sources and ideally some experience of market IT systems.
