About Us
We have a fantastic opportunity to provide support to the market-leading Syndicate 609 Property teams in developing exposure risk metrics and analysing catastrophe risk. Responsibilities include evaluating data quality, preparing management reports, investigating exposure profiles, and contributing to team projects and initiatives.
Role- Provide direct support to Property Underwriting team through modelling and other assistance as required.
- Investigating aggregations, tracking portfolio movements, and supporting the team in understanding changes in risk or concentrations of exposure.
- Assisting in the production of RDS submissions, model outputs, and monthly exposure reports.
- Validating model results for syndicate reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Contributing to the preparation of regulatory returns in line with compliance requirements.
- Performing data cleansing tasks and conducting data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitoring the quality of data entry and collaborating with underwriting teams to maintain and improve standards.
- Using catastrophe models and analytical tools to deliver portfolio analysis and insights.
- Enhancing the accessibility and usability of exposure management information (MI) across the business.
- Promoting the adoption of exposure MI and innovative technology solutions throughout the organisation.
- Minimum five years in an Exposure Management role.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Experience with catastrophe modelling platforms (e.g. RMS, AIR).
- Ability to perform data cleansing and quality checks to maintain integrity and reliability of exposure data.
- Strong numerical aptitude, with the ability to produce and interpret statistical data accurately.
- Demonstrable knowledge or proven aptitude for computer programming; familiarity with SQL is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of geography, natural sciences, or engineering principles. A formal science degree is not required, but an interest and foundational knowledge in these areas is beneficial.
- Time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.
