Global Accounting Network are partnering exclusively with an international client specifically supporting the IT Transformation workstream. The interim IT Project Manager will provide dedicated leadership across a significant portfolio of technology-related activity, including IT outsourcing, application rationalisation, system dependency validation, and transition/cutover planning.
The IT Project Manager will coordinate internal teams and external vendors, maintain delivery discipline, and ensure all IT work streams remain aligned to the overall programme plan.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end IT Transformation workstream delivery
- Own the IT workstream plan and ensure alignment with the overall programme timeline, dependencies, and milestones.
- Maintain delivery discipline through structured governance, RAID management, and escalation.
- Manage the IT outsourcing transition including:
- Vendor coordination and mobilisation
- Contract alignment and service scope definition
- Service transition planning and operational handover
- Ensure vendor delivery commitments, timelines, and transition readiness are met.
- Manage the application rationalisation process, ensuring systems are:
- Assessed and prioritised
- Consolidated or migrated where appropriate
- Decommissioned in line with programme objectives
- Coordinate technical validation of system dependencies, constraints, and integration impacts.
- Develop, maintain and track detailed IT delivery plans including:
- Provide structured reporting on:
- Progress, risks, issues, actions, decisions
- Mitigation plans and early warnings
- Support preparation of business cases, technical assessments, and decision papers for Steer Co / ExCo.
- Facilitate workshops, technical reviews and planning sessions with IT leadership and vendor partners.
- Ensure IT changes are delivered with minimal disruption to BAU operations.
- Proven track record delivering complex IT projects within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading IT outsourcing transitions
- Deep understanding of IT outsourcing models, vendor management, and service transition.
- Experience managing application rationalisation
- Experience operating within structured governance frameworks, including Steer Co/ExCo reporting.
