Salary Package: £ 28,000 - £ 30,000 plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday – Friday

Role Purpose

Join our proximity support team as an Application Support Analyst, working with a Senior Application Analyst to provide second-line technical support for business applications. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, managing updates, resolving data queries, and handling access or configuration requests. This role requires strong communication, prioritisation, and attention to documentation.

This position is well-suited for those who are looking to build a career in application support and grow professionally within the role.

Security clearance or willingness to apply will be required for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and triage support tickets and calls, ensuring prompt responses.
  • Resolve issues and service requests, escalating complex cases as needed.
  • Review system alerts and exception reports to maintain reliability.
  • Document support activities and troubleshooting steps.
  • Assist with application upgrades and deployments.
  • Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
  • Achieve any KPI targets set for your role.
  • Understand and adhere to all local site-specific Fire, Security and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Embrace and train on any new technologies and maintain the skills and knowledge required to perform the role to the required standard.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request from your line management.
  • Participate in 24/7 coverage via a rota system or engage in a shift system (where contractually identified).
  • Work a certain amount of overtime when required to do so.
  • Be compliant with management system policies, company policies & guidelines and take responsibility for health & safety in the workplace.
  • Be able to produce and update technical documentation where required.
Skills And Experience
  • Basic SQL and relational database knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communicator, able to explain technical details to non-technical users.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritise and work independently.
  • Need to have a full UK driving licence.
  • Experience in application or IT support, or data-related roles.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Service Now).
  • Experience with financial systems.
  • Understanding of application monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Basic scripting knowledge.
