Project Manager – Service virtualization (Payments & Cards)
Location:
London - Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week onsite
Start day: ASAP
Contractor rate: TBC, likely in the region of £400-£425 per day inside IR35
Duration: 6 months, initially
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with IBM Service Virtualisation (SV) expertise to lead the governance, coordination, and delivery of the Service Virtualisation programme. You will scale the current pilot to 5–6 virtualised services, ensuring structured delivery, strong risk control, stakeholder alignment, and high‑quality outcomes across Payments and Cards domains.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver virtualised services across Payments and Cards platforms.
* Lead governance, RAID management, and programme quality controls.
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams (SV, QA, Security, Dev Ops, SMEs).
* Oversee SIT testing, readiness, and operational handover.
* Manage delivery phases from use‑case definition through to launch.
* Prioritise and progress a pipeline of 10–20 use cases.
* Maintain scope control, change management, and clear documentation.
* Liaise with internal teams and external vendors to ensure compliant, timely delivery.
* Enforce quality gates, environment readiness, and secure access practices.
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience managing IBM Service Virtualisation projects end‑to‑end.
* Ability to deliver multi‑phase, complex technical programmes.
* Knowledge of Payments and Cards domains (CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, FISERV, Broadcom).
* Proven track record coordinating cross‑functional delivery teams.
* Strong governance capabilities: RAID, CAB, structured reporting.
* Skilled in use‑case quality, scope control, and change management.
* Vendor management experience with compliance‑driven delivery.
* Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
* Solid understanding of SIT, operational readiness, and controlled environments.
* Comfortable working in hybrid, multi‑disciplinary delivery environments
