Duration: 6 months initially

The TBM Service Designer will design and optimise the organisation's Technology Business Management (TBM) service, processes and operating model to improve cost transparency, financial insight and decision‑making. The role spans service design, business architecture, data/process modelling and cross‑functional facilitation, ensuring TBM is scalable, understood and effectively embedded across Finance, Technology, Architecture and Business Change. You will help progress TBM maturity by defining service operations, cost‑data flows and how insights are consumed across the organisation.

• Lead TBM maturity assessments and convert findings into service and operating‑model recommendations
• Define the TBM vision, value narrative and strategic purpose
• Design the TBM Target Operating Model (roles, processes, handoffs, interactions)
• Establish TBM operating rhythm, governance cadence and engagement model
• Create service blueprints, capability models, role profiles and skill‑progression pathways
• Work with Finance, Architecture and Technology on cost‑allocation logic, attribution and cost‑recovery needs
• Map and improve TBM data dependencies, data contracts, integrations and data‑quality responsibilities
• Produce workflow maps, documentation and training supporting BAU and TBM adoption
• Translate complex cost‑modelling and financial concepts into clear visuals and narratives
• Collaborate with analysts and data owners on enhancements to TBM models, allocations, dashboards and insights

• Experience in TBM, ITFM, cost transparency or service financial modelling (or ability to rapidly upskill)
• Strong service design, operating‑model or business‑design background
• Ability to simplify and visualise complex financial/technical concepts
• Experience with cross‑functional workshops and stakeholder alignment
• Strong process‑mapping, analysis and documentation skills
• Ability to work across Finance, Technology, Architecture, Data and Business Change

• Knowledge of Apptio, Service Now, CSDM or CMDB
• Experience designing capability frameworks, TOMs or organisational structures
• Understanding of IT allocations, chargeback or service costing
• Experience in a large or regulated organisation
