Experience: 3+ years in B2B content SEO, or growth marketing fintech or financial services strongly preferred
What You'll Own Search Strategy & Intelligence- Own Merge's keyword map — matching search intent to every product, customer segment, and content asset on the site
- Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 weekly; surface ranking opportunities, CTR failures, and content gaps before they cost us clicks
- Track the single metric that matters most for this role: non-brand organic click share — and grow it
- Stay ahead of how Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, and Perplexity are changing what 'ranking' means — and build content that wins in those surfaces
- Write or commission and edit the content that makes Merge the definitive source on enterprise stablecoin and payments infrastructure.
- Rewrite meta titles and descriptions for underperforming pages - turning monthly impressions that don't click into traffic that does.
- Audit and refresh all existing blog content: add author attribution, update dates, product CTAs, and structural improvements.
- Build content specifically designed to be cited in AI-generated answers - FAQ structures, clear entity definitions, attributed data, E-E-A-T signals.
- Run a monthly manual audit: query key topics in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AIO and track whether Merge appears.
- Maintain Merge's external entity presence (Crunchbase, Linked In, industry directories) so LLMs can accurately identify and describe the company.
- Brief the development team on structured data requirements - you don't need to write the code, but you need to know what to ask for.
- Lead one original research report per quarter - 'State of Stablecoin Payments,' 'Enterprise Stablecoin Adoption Index,' or similar - from data gathering through to publication.
- Work with internal teams and external data sources to produce proprietary insights that earn press coverage and backlinks.
- Pitch content to fintech and business publications for syndication and coverage.
- Report monthly on: organic sessions, non-brand click share, average position, CTR by page, LLM citation appearances, and demo bookings from organic search.
- Own the content performance dashboard - every piece of content tracked against its target keyword and KPI.
- Feed insights from content performance back into the roadmap - double down on what's working, cut what isn't.
- 3+ years in B2B content marketing, SEO, or growth — ideally in fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure.
- A strong writing portfolio: long‑form technical content for a sophisticated enterprise audience, not consumer copy.
- Hands‑on experience with Google Search Console and GA4 - you can extract insights independently and know what to do with them.
- Solid on‑page SEO fundamentals: title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, content architecture.
- A genuine understanding of how LLM search works and what makes content more likely to appear in AI‑generated answers.
- Comfort with fintech terminology - stable coins, virtual IBANs, payment rails, KYB/KYT, MiCA, reconciliation, FX — you don't need to be an expert, but you can't be starting from zero.
- The discipline to manage a content calendar, work with external resources, and consistently hit publishing deadlines.
