Position: Junior IT Support Analyst (12 Month FTC)
Location: Greater London

The opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver consistent IT support to the London office while aligning with global technology standards. By maintaining secure, stable technology, anticipating user needs, and fostering collaboration, the role enables staff to work efficiently across offices and supports OTPP’s long-term investment goals.

The team are looking to hire a Junior IT Systems Analyst on a 12 month FTC.

Who you'll work with

Working as part of the London IT team, this role supports IT across the London office and reports in to the team manager. The role requires 4 days per week in our London office.

What you'll do
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for support requests across all communication channels.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and escalates complex matters by adhering to the incident process.
  • Supports core enterprise platforms and collaboration tools and any changes to it.
  • Assists users with adoption of new tools and technology enhancements, including AI-enabled workplace capabilities where applicable.
  • Performs workstation lifecycle activities (Imaging, provisioning, asset tagging, etc.)
  • Coordinates and delivers technology setup for new hires and employee transitions.
  • Understands technology and ownership for a suite of line-of-business desktop applications & technologies, including IMAC functionality.
  • Participates or assists from time to time with technology initiatives delivering services to investment customers.
  • Adheres to information security policies and escalates potential risks or incidents as required.
  • Identifies recurring or trending technical issues.
  • Independently analyses and resolves IT issues using available tools, knowledge bases, ticket systems, and AI-assistant, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
  • Exercises judgment in determining resolution paths and when to involve senior team members or specialized support teams.
  • Prioritises and manages work assignments effectively in a dynamic business environment.
  • Seeks clarification and asks appropriate questions to ensure accurate understanding before implementing solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need

Essential:

  • Relevant community college certificate/diploma or BTEC Level 3 in Math/Statistics/Engineering/Information Technology program
  • Industry-recognized certification such as ITIL, A+ certifications are an asset
  • Strong knowledge of technical troubleshooting methodologies and frameworks.
  • Understanding of IT service management processes, including incident and escalation management.
  • Knowledge of information security best practices and access controls.
  • Understanding of remote access and hybrid workplace support models.
  • Familiarity with modern workplace technologies including Windows 11, Microsoft 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and TCP/IP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of the investment management industry.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Co‑Pilot, automation capabilities within Microsoft 365, VDI, VPN, and meeting room technologies.
  • Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn emerging technologies.
