We’re looking for a Technical Pricing Lead to join our team and spearhead the technical evolution of our insurance products. Simply Business is a pioneering, award-winning company, and this role is at the heart of our mission to provide refreshing and reliable insurance for over 900,000 small businesses.
This is a senior individual contributor role, perfect for a technical trailblazer who wants to solve complex pricing challenges without the overhead of people management. You’ll drive profitability by formulating innovative strategies and building sophisticated models that accurately quantify risk, ensuring our pricing remains both market-leading and underpinned by robust evidence.
* Build and refine technical pricing models using advanced statistical techniques to accurately quantify risk and optimise our pricing structures.
* Drive strategic pricing by formulating innovative solutions that align with our long-term business goals and market competitiveness.
* Interpret complex data sets to ensure our pricing remains accurate, robust, and supported by data-driven insights.
* Partner across functional teams to align pricing with broader objectives, acting as a technical expert for stakeholders across the business.
* Monitor the success of implemented strategies, making real-time improvements to ensure we consistently meet our targets.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure our practices remain compliant and pioneering.#
** We’re looking for someone who is:
*** Technically proficient, with significant experience using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for complex data analysis.
* An expert in pricing software, with practical experience working with industry-standard tools like Earnix, Emblem, or Radar.
* Analytically minded, holding a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
* A strategic thinker who can develop innovative solutions to solve complex business challenges while maintaining profitability.
* An effective communicator who can translate complex pricing concepts into plain English for non-technical teams.
