3. Influence and LeadershipThis isn’t a “heads‑down” design role.
You’ll mentor others, shape the programme’s design approach, and act as a senior voice across Service Design, Service Transition and stakeholder groups. You’ll be working at a strategic, programme‑wide level.
You won't be restricted to theoretical design. Here, you influence the full service lifecycle — from early UX and research insights through to transition‑to‑live and operational acceptance. Real accountability, real results.

The OpportunityLocation:
London (min. 3 days onsite)
Function:Service Design & Transition
You'll guide complex design strands within a major programme, working closely with Service Transition, Project Management, Operations, and user groups. You’ll bring clarity to ambiguity, simplify complicated services, and ensure designs land smoothly into BAU.
What You’ll Lead- Mentoring Service Designers and supporting a blended design/transition community
- Documenting design decisions, risks and rationale clearly
- Driving ITIL 4, Agile and CSI practices across the team
- Ensuring seamless alignment between design, delivery and operations
- Championing user needs within a secure environment
- Strong background designing services in complex or highly regulated environments
- Experience using data, research and feedback loops to drive improvements
- Proven ability to turn design into working, operable services
- Knowledge of ITIL 4, Agile, and service governance
- Ability to influence and mentor
- Experience of working in pressured environments with tight‑turnaround demands
public sector, policing, or security‑cleared programme experience.
