Senior Consultant – Banking Technology

Adesso UK is expanding its Financial Services practice and looking for a Senior Consultant to lead high-impact technology engagements across the UK banking sector. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role that blends technical expertise, delivery excellence, and strategic leadership. You’ll act as the primary contact for key banking clients, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from digital transformation to data, AI, and core banking modernisation.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the single point of contact for project and service delivery.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology programmes within Financial Services.
• Drive delivery assurance – ensuring scope, timelines, and KPIs are met.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders (VP, Director, CXO level).

• Support and lead bid and proposal creation, working closely with sales and technical teams.
• Shape winning solutions and present persuasively during client pitches and workshops.

• Bridge client business teams and technical delivery teams to ensure alignment.
• Advise clients on technology strategy, architecture, and implementation best practices.
• Bring deep insight into emerging FS technologies, from cloud and data to AI and platform transformation.
• Lead and mentor global delivery teams, driving excellence in governance, risk management, and quality.
• Track financials, manage risks, and deliver against KPIs and profitability targets.
• Contribute to practice development through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

• 10+ years’ experience in technology consulting or delivery management within banking, payments, or capital markets.
• Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder management.
• Experience working onsite with major UK or global financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of the Financial Services technology landscape (cloud, digital platforms, data/AI, core banking).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
• Commercial acumen with a focus on value creation and delivery excellence.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
