About the Company

At Cleo, we’re not just building another fintech app. We’re on a mission to fundamentally change humanity’s relationship with money, enabling everyone with a hyper‑intelligent financial advisor in their pocket. Cleo is a profitable, fast‑growing unicorn with over $300 million in ARR and growing >2x year‑over‑year. We seek top talent who thrive in collaboration and positive impact.

About the Role

We’re hiring Cleo’s first dedicated Senior Product Analyst for Legal, Compliance & Policy—focused on surfacing and scaling insights that support our regulatory strategy, compliance operations, and policy development.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross‑functional teams to deliver compliance‑driven product initiatives, from discovery through implementation.
  • Build dashboards and reporting layers for key compliance and policy indicators, including alerting, monitoring and runbooks for product‑health KPIs.
  • Analyse user journeys and product interactions to understand regulatory implications; lead root‑cause investigations and ship fixes (definitions, tests, controls).
  • Respond to regulator requests with audit‑ready outputs and documented assumptions.
  • Support EWA state licensing and other regulatory processes with accurate, well‑structured insight.
  • Own definitions and governance for metrics that underpin regulatory and compliance reporting, ensuring a single source of truth.
Qualifications Must‑Have
  • 5+ years in product analytics, data analytics, analytics engineering, risk analytics, or similar roles in a digital or regulated environment.
  • Expert‑level SQL, able to interrogate complex datasets and build reliable analytical foundations.
  • Hands‑on experience with BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau) and large, interconnected datasets.
  • Experience conducting A/B tests end‑to‑end, including experiment design, configuration, and decision‑making.
  • Strong governance mindset: ownership of definitions, change control, audit trails, data retention/access controls.
  • Strong analytical intuition—demonstrated structured problem solving in ambiguous, evolving compliance contexts.
  • Ability to translate evolving regulatory questions into structured, data‑driven insights.
  • Demonstrated influence on product or business decisions through narrative‑driven analysis and confident communication with technical and non‑technical partners.
  • A bias for action, ownership, and accuracy—especially under time‑sensitive conditions.
Nice‑to‑Have
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, EWA, payments, or other regulated product lines.
  • Understanding of payment systems and how flows interact with product behaviour.
  • Prior exposure to compliance, risk, audit, policy, or regulatory projects.
  • Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, or other data‑workflow tools.
Benefits
  • A competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi‑annual reviews aligned to quarterly OKR cycles.
  • Work at one of the fastest‑growing tech startups, backed by top VC firms such as Balderton & EQT Ventures.
  • Clear progression plan with opportunities to lead, challenge the status quo, and own impact.
  • Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid options for London and remote/visiting opportunities for other locations.
  • Travel costs covered for occasional office visits.
Other Benefits
  • Company‑wide performance reviews every 6 months.
  • Generous pay increases for high‑performing team members.
  • Equity top‑ups for promotions.
  • 25 days annual leave + public holidays, plus an additional day for every year at Cleo (up to 30 days).
  • 6% employer‑matched pension in the UK.
  • Private medical, dental and life insurance via Vitality.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • 1‑month paid sabbatical after 4 years at Cleo.
  • Regular socials and activities, online and in‑person.
  • We’ll pay for your OpenAI subscription.
  • Online mental health support via Spill.
  • Workplace nursery scheme.
  • and many more!
