We’re seeking a Data Scientist focused on applied AI & innovation to be the company’s first in-house technical hire. As a Data Scientist, you’ll play a key role in identifying, shaping, and delivering new technical and AI-driven solutions across the business. This is a broad, hands-on role where you’ll assess existing processes, explore what’s possible with modern AI and automation tools, and prototype ideas that can deliver real commercial value.

You’ll work closely with non-technical stakeholders, translating business problems into technical solutions. While some coding and technical implementation is required, this is not a pure development role; it’s about applied problem-solving, experimentation, and selecting the right platforms, tools, or vendors to bring ideas to life.

You’ll be joining a well-established company that recognises the opportunity to do much more with data, technology, and AI. The Data Scientist will sit at the centre of the business, helping to shape new products, improve internal efficiency, and define the company’s technical direction.

The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the London office.

The ideal Data Scientist, Applied AI & Innovation will have some of the following:

• A strong interest and genuine passion for AI, automation, and emerging technologies
• A degree in a technical or analytical subject (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, etc)
• Prior experience in a technical, data, or analytical role, with hands-on technical ability (e.g. Python, data analysis, APIs, automation, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and propose practical solutions
• Confidence to work independently, communicate ideas clearly, and challenge or push back when needed
