We are seeking a hands‑on VP, Systems Engineer to own and evolve mission‑critical infrastructure. This is a London‑based role with required travel to data center sites. The role is for a senior individual contributor rather than a management position, and success is measured by systems personally built, operated, and improved in production. You will blend strategic thinking with deep hands‑on execution, working both at the keyboard and in live production data centers.

This includes physical systems work such as racking hardware, in‑person troubleshooting, and full participation in incident response and remediation. The role balances building, operating, and improving systems over time, rather than focusing exclusively on firefighting or greenfield design.

• Hybrid Infrastructure Ownership – personally design, build, deploy, operate, and maintain a hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud services and on‑premises data centers that support high‑reliability financial systems.
• Data Center Operations – regularly perform hands‑on work in live production data centers, including rack‑and‑stack, hardware installation and replacement, cabling, and in‑person troubleshooting. Travel to data center locations is a normal and expected part of the role.
• Automation and Configuration – implement and operate automation, configuration management, and infrastructure‑as‑code to deploy and manage systems ively eliminate manual toil through scripting and tooling while maintaining operational reliability.
• Monitoring and Observability – establish and maintain end‑to‑end monitoring and observability for systems you personally own and operate in production. Define signals, dashboards, and alerts, and drive remediation efforts across both infrastructure and application layers.
• Incident Response and Reliability – take direct ownership of production reliability. Participate in on‑call rotations, lead live incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Security and Compliance – ensure systems are hardened, patched, and operated in line with security and compliance requirements expected in financial and digital asset environments. Partner with security teams to remediate risks and support audits where required.
