This is a fantastic role for a seasoned privacy professional who thrives in fast‑moving tech environments and enjoys combining operational privacy work with cross‑functional collaboration. You’ll work with modern tooling—including AI—to help mature a global privacy programme that sits at the heart of member trust.
The OpportunityActing as an experienced privacy advisor (working under the supervision of qualified privacy counsel), you’ll support global privacy operations across incident response, regulatory engagement, product development, and privacy‑by‑design initiatives. Key to this role is a background in tech, agile, consumer facing roles who have experience in GDPR compliance and regulatory inquiries.
What You’ll Be Doing- Manage low–medium risk personal data breaches and support investigations into more complex cases
- Coordinate cross‑functional tasks, gather facts, draft assessments and regulatory materials
- Maintain breach logs, investigative records, and track follow‑up actions
- Support core privacy operations across GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and emerging global frameworks
- Contribute to process improvements and compliance scalability
- Track legal developments and implement practical updates with support from supervising counsel
- Drive privacy projects from planning to execution
- Maintain ROPA
- Maintain draft and quality review of DPIAs, LIAs and similar data protection assessments, together with DSARs, escalating, as appropriate, to supervising privacy counsel. Review DPAs, data‑sharing agreements, vendor terms, SCCs/TIAs (with escalation to counsel where appropriate),
- Review drafts of Data Processing Agreements, data sharing agreements, vendor data protection addenda, SCCs/TIAs, and related documentation for third‑party processing transfers, escalating, as appropriate, to supervising privacy counsel.
- Handle complex data sharing arrangements under the supervision of privacy counsel.
- Organise DPO meetings, track tasks, and maintain documentation
- Prepare draft responses to regulatory inquiries in collaboration with legal, product, engineering, info‑sec, and support teams
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Info Sec and P&C to map data flows
- Identify privacy considerations for new features and elevate high‑risk matters to counsel
- Support responses to global member rights requests
- Assist with regulator queries and member claims under supervision
- Partner with Marketing, P&C, Consumer Protection, Product Counsel and others to align privacy operations
- Assist in updating privacy policies, drafting training, and producing guidance materials
- Create and refine SOPs, playbooks, policies, and training
- Support responsible AI use and help embed privacy safeguards into AI/ML product features
- 7+ years’ experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance roles
- Ability to interpret complex privacy issues into actionable, business‑friendly guidance
- Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Info Sec, Marketing, and Support teams
- Skilled drafter with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable using AI‑enabled tools responsibly
- Knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, major US privacy laws, and global privacy frameworks
- IAPP certifications (CIPP/E/US or similar) welcome
- Thrives in fast‑paced tech environments; proactive, collaborative, and impact‑oriented
- Based in London, UK
