HSBC UK Technology is seeking a dynamic Head of Secured Lending Technology to lead end-to-end technology delivery for our Secured Lending Value Stream. Serving over 14 million customers, you’ll shape and execute technology strategy, drive innovation, and ensure operational excellence across a multi-million-pound portfolio.

Reporting to the UK CMB CIO, you’ll partner with senior business leaders to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions, modernise legacy systems, and promote cloud adoption and agile ways of working.

• Own and deliver the technology roadmap, aligning with business priorities.
• Lead a team of c.110 FTE, fostering a high-performance, inclusive culture.
• Champion modern engineering practices (Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, automation) and adoption of new technologies (GenAI) to accelerate platform evolution and innovation.
• Manage budgets (~$20m), ensuring robust governance and risk management.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver customer-centric digital solutions.
• Shape and implement engineering standards, driving platform convergence, simplification, and efficiency.

• Deep expertise in Dev Ops and software engineering, with hands‑on experience leading teams and driving transformation using agile at‑scale methods and Dev Ops tools.
• Proven technology leadership, adept at driving strategic change within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience managing large‑scale budgets.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of Retail Secured Lending product offerings.
• Extensive background in transformation, portfolio management, risk assessment, and delivery‑focused processes.
