Platform Engineer – Systematic Hedge Fund

Our client, a global systematic hedge fund, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its London-based Core Infrastructure team.

This is a hands‑on role focused on supporting and improving a Linux‑based production environment across hybrid infrastructure (on‑prem and cloud). The position sits within core infrastructure and supports business‑critical systems.

• Maintain and improve Linux server environments
• Support and operate Kubernetes clusters
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform
• Build and maintain configuration management using Ansible
• Support VMware / virtualised infrastructure
• Contribute to monitoring and alerting improvements
• Troubleshoot issues across OS, infrastructure, and application layers
• Collaborate with global teams on infrastructure initiatives
• Contribute to documentation and operational best practices

• Strong Linux systems administration / engineering experience
• Experience supporting Kubernetes in production
• Terraform experience
• Ansible or similar configuration management experience
• Experience working in hybrid or virtualised environments
• Strong troubleshooting capability
• Clear communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
